Honey flower

I dreamed I could be a flower, whose petals would sway calmly in the wind.
Taste the sweet drops of rain that cascade from the skies above
the warmth of the earth to keep me breathing and alive
I wished I could just dance in the sun and see the stars of night
when I get picked off my stem and held in gentle hands
my hope and spirit shines into the hearts of those who feel the happiness
the dream of becoming a flower may seem silly, but as long as the rain falls and the sun rises
my heart will always keep beating to shine the lands of precious green grass
and I will offer my nectar to the bees so they can make sweet honey.
This may seem like a dream, but deep inside... I will always wake up to be the honey flower that lives to have another day...
